What does the title mean you say? Can you name some movies with characters named Frankenstein? I can. He appears in the movie with this title:Death Race. The prequel of Death Race is going to come out in 2011, so don't get to excited yet. Death Race 2, or Death Race: Frankenstein Lives, is going to be directed by Dutch filmmaker Roel Reiné. It was written by Tony Giglio and Paul W. S. Anderson. Death Race will star Sean Bean, Tanit Phoenix and Danny Trejo.

The film will explore the career of the Death Race racer Frankenstein. It's the prequel to the movie Death Race. At the beginning of the movie Death Race, the original Frankenstein dies in a race. Death Race: Frankenstein Lives explores the life of the original Frankenstein from the beginning as his life as a corrupt cop until the beginning of the original Death Race movie.

On November 13, 2009, the cast began making the prequel. On December 7, 2009, it was announced that Roel Reiné would direct the film. On January 5, 2010, Luke Goss was announced for the leading role as Carl "Luke" Lucas, who becomes "Frankenstein".
Principal photography began on February 13, 2010 in Cape Town, South Africa. The film was shot in an abandoned cement factory near the poor townships outside Cape Town. It will be released on October 3, 2010.
